     I am often surprised that many people are just interested in the business aspects of my art.  I am starting to get used to it, though.
     In the bar, business people will ask me all kinds of questions, one of the main ones being, "Can you make a living making art?"
     Then I reply, "I've been paying my rent for three years with it."

     Often these business people will not buy, they are just there to be intrusive. 
     I humor them by answering a couple of questions, then I try to get rid of them, unless they are serious about buying something.
     I find it rude that they would waste my time.

     Anyway, a business aspect that I've been working on for years is my youtube channel.  Here you go....I have over two-thousand videos....https://www.youtube.com/user/DavidLovins67.  I could certainly use more views, and more subscribers. 
     I think I have earned $122 from youtube so far, but have yet to claim it. 

     Art sales for me have been atrociously slow in the month of October 2015.  I hope to never see a month like this ever again. 

     Basically, my boss at this point is Google.  I work for them with all the things I do on the web.  Google is 'The God of The Web'.
     If you are good to Google, it will return the favor.
     Google pays very low, though.

     I ain't buying a house anytime soon.

     Anyway, I've figured out that I need to sell a million products off of both zazzle.com and pixels.com in order to make my life work.

                                     On pixels.com yesterday, I uploaded my 100th image.  I've sold around twenty-five things so far, and hope to sell more.

                                     On zazzle.com, I have sold six things so far, and hope to sell more.

                                     So, there is my update, for anyone who is nosy and curious about my business life as an artist.

     I sold a page of my typing that took an hour to write for $12.50.
     I sold my fourth product on zazzle.com.
     On pixels.com, I have sold around tewenty-five things so far.

     I am encouraged enough to keep going with my online ventures until I can make a living from it.  That would be nice.

     I like not working.

     I like it when things work automatically online, and I just collect the money for my work.

     On youtube, I make 1-3 videos a day.  I am trying to drum up business that way, too.  It is hard to get people to watch my videos, though.

     Overall, though, selling my art in real life at the café and at the bar is more effective than online for me still.  I hope to change that someday.  It takes a while, even years, to get the ball rolling.

     Anyway, I still meet people who are primarily interested in the business aspects of my art.  I have come to forgive them for that.  They can't help it.  When they ask too many questions when they don't buy anything can be really annoying, though, especially when I don't even know the person.  I do not know why they have to be so intrusive.  I don't ask them how their job is going, because it is none of my business.

     Wow, it has been a while since I posted anything on this blog.

     I've been busy.

     Sales have been slow lately, is all I can say.

     I have actually sold some things off of pixels.com, but now the trick is to get paid.  I made a mistake in a gmail address, but I fixed that yesterday.  Hopefully, over time, they will pay me.  That would be nice.  It will be a happy day when I see money deposited into my paypal account.
     It has been a struggle to make money on the web.  I have been trying for twelve years, with little results.
     When I bought my first computer ever in 2002, my plan to justify making the purchase was to get the computer to pay for itself.  I am still trying to achieve that, and now I am on my third computer...haha.

     Anyways....every day is an opportunity for new possibilities, and I will try to make something happen today.

     I don't know what is supposed to happen with DeviantArt.  I'm getting hits, but I haven't sold a thing.  I don't know if people buy much from this site.  On pixels.com, however, I've sold 13 things in two months.

     All I can do is keep uploading, join groups, make comments, cross my fingers, and hope that something happens.

     One thing I have found out for sure is that I actually have to work hard to drive traffic to my site, and I have to promote my art as much as possible.  It doesn't happen by itself. 

     Some people think all they have to do is post something, and the world will respond.  Sometimes it does, but most of the time not.

     If I was famous, or married to a famous person, I'd probably get more hits.  I have no plans of getting married, though.  I'm too busy living my own life.  Art takes a long time to make, and requires a lot of attention.

     Anyway, thanks for looking at this page.  I hope I didn't bore you too much....haha.

     God knows I've been bored to tears reading other people's crap...haha.
